| Nearby is another new-to-me marker (this is the top of a huge ground nail), perhaps giving the direction and distance that is seemingly missing from the Bearing Tree sign. "RM" is the two-letter code for the tree species, in this case Red Maple. Although the survey was done long ago, it was evidently updated in 1997. |
