| Ten of us joined an AMC group of five to hike North Tripyramid via the Pine Bend Brook Trail in February 2007. Our 30-snowshoe trail-tramping machine heads up the mountain. It takes 7 hours to go in 4 miles and up 2800 feet to the summit. Good thing we have 15 hikers to rotate through the exhausting lead position, breaking trail through 2 feet of heavy new snow. |
