| Tom and Fred hiked Old Speck -- this time in the sunshine -- in July 2003. A Fritillary butterfly obligingly poses for its photo on a quartz ledge at one of the trail viewpoints. It is probably an Aphrodite Fritillary (Speyeria aphrodite). |
