The bushwhack, on the other hand, is difficult. Most of the way from view 2 to the true summit is through woods like this: moderately difficult to traverse. But, near the summit, things get nasty: lots of downed trees enclosed in a thick new-growth evergreen forest. I have to push through the tree branches slowly (because I can't see the ground my feet will be standing on), and then somehow climb over the zillions of downed trees (reducing my hiking speed to about 1/10 mph). |
