Near hike start is Wild Lettuce (Lactuca canadensis), also called Tall Lettuce.
Identification clues include:
- small flowers (1/2-inch across) in terminal clusters, - a tall plant (several feet) and - leaves clasping a smooth stem, variable in shape but often deeply lobed. |
