Sixteen of us hiked Mount Surprise (2194-ft; White Mountains, NH) and Mount Moriah via the Carter-Moriah Trail in January 2010. John takes in the wintry view from the near-summit ledges on Mount Surprise (which is pretty much just a shoulder of Mount Moriah).
