Here's the Melville Nauheim Shelter (for thru-hikers) near the summit of Maple Hill.
There is a notice at the trail entrance kiosk that a bear had to be killed by game wardens because it had been stealing food at nearby Goddard Shelter; plus a notice about how to store food bear-safely, so this does not have to happen again. |
