golden foliage in Smugglers Notch on the way to hike Madonna Peak in Vermont

The trailhead for Sterling Pond Trail is in Smugglers Notch, where the fall foliage is gorgeous. And, of course, there is a flock of "leaf-peeper" tourists here with their cameras! So I temporarily join them.
