| Along the lower Skookumchuck Trail we see lots of Large-leaved Goldenrod (Solidago macrophylla). This plant grows mostly in cool woods and mountain slopes of northern New England. The lower leaves (not shown in the photo) are large, rounded, toothed and abruptly narrowed to a winged stalk. |
