| Tom and Fred hiked Hamlin Peak (4756-ft) in September 2002. We go up the Hamlin Ridge Trail and down the Saddle Trail. We stay at Big Moose Inn, a great private campground and lodge just outside Baxter State Park's south entrance. Mount Katahdin towers above its surroundings, as seen from Abol Bridge on Golden Road. Hamlin Peak is to the left; Baxter Peak is to the right. |
