view from Mount Moosilauke's South Peak in New Hampshire

I did a solo hike up Mount Moosilauke, South Peak (4523-ft), Mount Jim (4172-ft) and Mount Blue (4529-ft) via the Glencliff Trail in July 2003. There are a lot of people enjoying the fine weather on Moosilauke, including a paid caretaker and a Forest Service "ridge runner". Even on a beautiful Saturday in July, I have South Peak to myself! I put my camera on the cairn and take this photo while a little dramatic cloud cover lingers.
