a Deer Tick (Ixodes scapularis) walks the side of Fred's finger after hiking Groton Town Forest in June in Massachusetts

Oops, a tiny little tick walks on the side of my finger. It is an adult male Deer Tick (Ixodes scapularis), also called Blacklegged Tick. It is only 1/16 inch long.
