I visited Greeley Park in April 2010 and found Glory-of-the-snow (Chionodoxa luciliae) in bloom. This small early-spring flower is identified by its linear basal leaves, racemes with 1-3 flowers, and flowers 1/2 - 3/4 inches across. It is also known as Chionodoxa gigantea and Chionodoxa forbesii. |
