| And here's Asiatic Dayflower (Commelina communis). What looks like three tiny internal yellow flowers are sterile stamens. The fourth tiny yellow structure and the two long-curved, disk-tipped structures are fertile stamens. And the longest curved structure is the pistil. The enclosing green case is a protective leaf. ...truly weird! |
