Wave Gothic Festival participants in their mega-Halloween costumes at Leipzig in Germany

We chance to be in Leipzig during the Wave Gothic Festival, with 20,000 attendees from around the world parading in mega-Halloween costumes -- a fun friendly group. We had timed our vacation to avoid the summer school vacation crowds, but instead hit three major festivals: this one, the Wagner Festival and the German Socialist Party Convention. And it is spring school vacation to boot -- go figure!
