Dick loaned me this French audio cassette of frog voicings (Concert de Grenouilles means
"Concert of Frogs"). The Thoreau quote is: "They start to sing each evening with the precision of a clock."
And, yes, it is an hour-long visit to the frog pond at song time; no words or other music involved.
