Champion Beech in September 2021 at Reinstein Woods near Buffalo, NY

Here is a Champion American Beech Tree (listed in the New York State Big Tree Register), complete with a viewing platform (and explanation plaque) in the foreground. Unfortunately, it died recently and is now just a skeleton (sigh).
